"BKS is a product of the hearts and hands of Jason and Derek Yerke. They make every one of their boards by hand, from laying up the plies to laying the graphics. Their boards are solid as f*** and truly unique. Jay and Derek brought one of their Shank tight slalom models down to give as a prize. The winner of this awesome custom deck was a very stoked Sasha Goad. ("Princess Salsa" was also the recipient of a special cash gift from an unnamed West Coast benefactor for being the top female racer. Not bad for her first ever race!) One further note about these brothers. These guys are skaters to the core. Intending to camp out in my back yard, they drove from Lansing to Chicago, parked their car and took the MegaBus to St. Louis, and then skated from the bus station to Tower Grove. Nothin' but respect guys. "

"Bought the blueprint from Derek while he was in nyc a few days ago and haven't stopped skating. One of the best board designs currently on the market. Definitely recommend getting one asap. Pumping has never been easier and increased stability on hills as well as a quick turning response (this board makes turns as smooth as butter). Truly is the lambo of longboards. Keep up the great work guys. Can't wait to take this bad boy to te Broadway Bomb." - Max Azar New York City, NY "Check out Bees Knees Skathletics. They are a small company out of Michigan and they make a sick ass freeride board. It is the "Juke". It is a drop deck and if you want the guys will do a drop thru also. You can work directly with these guys and customize your board, real cool guys and down to earth."

"First off, this board is Amazing :). I am not the most skilled rider but in one session on this puppy I learned standup 180's. There is so much feel in slides its ridiculous. I am 6' 2" and 150 lbs so maybe not all of this applies but I felt like this board was the perfect length and those gnarbars fit my feet like a glove. I had paris 180's with venom 90's on top, 85's on bottom and 81a Gumballs. Even with a wheel that size the board felt great. Great Freerider and feels solid in a tuck too."

"If I weren't such a broke high school senior, I'm sure I'd have a BKS model by now. I've taken the Juke for a spin via Joe Giancarlo and it's awesome. I have interest in dropped decks and this would be my first choice. SUPPORT SMALL BUILDERS!! Maybe sometime this summer.
Otherwise, the slalom boards are pretty sweet too. I have never raced, but I pumped around on one of the guys decks (complete with functional BKS Toestop) and it was an awesome experience. I've talked board presses with the brothers and checked out how their whole assembly process goes down in the work room. These guys have a passion for the sport and are willing to throw some tips to the little guy. Keep it up."

"Very pleased and surprised at how well this unit pumps, amazingly well in fact for a double-drop with wide RKPs on board. I'm not usually a fan of Paris trucks or Otangs but they work for me on this puppy. The ride height is very nice for pushing but it doesn't have any of that hammocky feeling you get with double drops. Just a hint of flex (with an OFB like me me on it at least ) to dampen road vibe too. There might still be some fine tuning of wheels and bushings but I'm going to really like this deck."
